Klopp welcomes Liverpool's 'crazy ride' to Champions League final

Liverpool's Roberto Firmino wants to improve despite prolific season

The Croatian is preparing to meet Liverpool next week in Kiev for the Champions League final - and he insists they won't be taking the Reds lightly. We are Liverpool, on the way to becoming a really good team, and performing at such a high level is very cool.

The plans have come more from Liverpool's city council than the club itself, but even so it all seems rather presumptuous, considering the pedigree of their opponents, Real Madrid, no less.

Liverpool made it to the finals of the Champions League after defeating Portuguese Champions FC Porto in the second round, Manchester City in the quarter-final and AS Roma in the semi-final of the Champions League.

An open-top bus would lead Jurgen Klopp, his team and the trophy itself along the Strand, up Leeds Street, along Hunter Street, Islington, Erskine Street and West Derby Road, before finishing near the Liverpool Olympia.

"We aren't anyone else".

Ramos added, "To have a new opportunity to show once again that we are kings of Europe is very positive; we can enjoy another final and try to repay this happiness".

Liverpool's Roberto Firmino wants to improve despite prolific season

"We know there is an equally well-qualified team on the other side", said Firmino. To summarise, it's been a insane ride.

Strong stuff. Liverpool take on Real Madrid in Kiev, Ukraine, on May 26. "But, after all, we've earned our place here".

In fairness, there is plenty going on in Liverpool that weekend which explains why the council have jumped the gun by scheduling the parade for Sunday 27 June - the day after the final.

"It's my first year in the competition and I'm one of the leading scorers, alongside Cristiano and Mohamed Salah, so I'm pretty pleased and happy with my own and the team's performances".

"That's why. We didn't put a special value on that".
